Nutrition
Our Centre provides fresh, nutritious, home cooked snacks and hot lunches. Menus are rotated weekly and seasonally and follow both the Canada Food Guide and the Child Care and Early Learning Act guidelines.
Halton Hills Child Care Centre is a Peanut/Nut Free Centre and no outside food or drinks are allowed. For children under 12 months old, parents are to bring in food and/or formula (Peanut/Nut Free, in original labelled packages), until the child transitions to our Centre's menu.
We work closely with families when it comes to food allergies, special diets or personal observances. Parents may be asked to provide specialty food items as required if our menu is unable to accommodate a specific need. Our anaphylactic policy ensures children’s dietary needs and allergies are clearly communicated and that strategies are in place to minimize exposure.
