Before and After School and Kindergarten Programs

For our Before & After School Program and Kindergarten Program, we strongly believe in creating a safe and nurturing environment that encourage children to participate, co-operate, and explore.
 
Curriculum
Our educators work in partnership with the children to create an atmosphere that encourages each child to develop growth of self-confidence, independence, a sense of responsibility, and respect for other and their environment.
 
Samples of Learning Opportunities
Creative Arts
Our well stocked art centre allows children the freedom of expression.  They can explore different mediums (paint, pencils, pastels, dough) unleashing individual creativity.
 
Dramatic Play
In dramatic play, children express themselves and use creativity.  The children will act out behaviours and action they see in the real life such as shopping in the grocery store, visiting the doctor and dentist, as well as make believe situations such as a princess in a castle or a knight in shining armour.
 
Circle Time
Circle time is a great opportunity for educators and children to come together as a group.  They can share experiences, exchange information on daily events.  They read stories, play games, and engage in positive interactions where everyone is a valued member of the group.

Our Kindergarten Program includes:

•  A program which is based on the Ministry of Education Kindergarten curriculum
• Jolly Phonics:

           - Designed to teach letter and sound                      recognition
           - Develops reading comprehension skills

• Second Step:

          - Focus on teaching children how to solve
             social problems peacefully by building 
             skills in impulse control, emotion
             management, responsible                                       problem solving, and empathy

• Operates from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
• Extended care 6:30 am to 9:00 am, and 4:00 pm to 6:15 pm
• Morning and afternoon snacks
• Nutritious lunch 

Our Before & After School Program includes:

• Before and after school care for children in JK to grade 5
• Care is available from 6:30 am to 6:15 pm
• Transportation to and from school with licensed drivers

• Morning and afternoon snacks
• Early Dismissals pick up
• Full day care for:
  

          - PA Days
          - Christmas Break
          - March Break
          - Snow Days
          - Bus Cancellation Days

• Nutritious lunch (for full day care)

Schools to be serviced for school year will be determined based on the families needs, taking into account school start times.

​SUMMER, SCHOOL BREAKS, & PA DAYS

Our Centre offers an excellent P.A. Day and School Break full-day program
​(covers Christmas Break, March Break and Summer) .
​
Children have the opportunity to partake in many exciting activities, field trips and organized excursions.  Some examples include off-site cooking classes, guided yoga/exercise classes, trips to the local splash park and many more interesting field trips and adventures.

Lunches and snacks are included.
